The BRINDAMOS FLAMENCO collective organizes flamenco teaching (guitar/ dance/ singing/ palmas) as well as international and Finnish performances. Collective focuses on interactive and communicative tablaoflamenco. Teaching emphasizes cooperation between dancer, guitarist, singer and palmer, and most of all knowledge rhythm and structures.
The Collective regularly organizes BRINDAMOS FLAMENCO clubs starred by the top Spanish artists, as well as Brindamos Finlandia clubs focusing on domestic artists. It is also possible to order performances for private events.

DANCE
BASIC LEVEL
On this course the focus is on footwork and rhythm, which is the basis of flamenco. We will also study body-related issues from the music point of view. We will learn how to perceive the structure of dance and the relationship with music. New material is being produced during the spring season and new students are welcome to join the group.

TablaoCombo 1 & 2
In TablaoCombo, dancers, guitarists and singers meet. The course teaches the legalities and grammar of improvisation-based flamenco. The goal is to truly communicate with flamenco. Palmas sessions are a compulsory part of the whole course.
TablaoCombo Intermediate Level (Tablaocombo 1) can be participated everybody dominating the flamenco basics. The Advanced level follow-up (Tablaocombo 2) requires one-year TablaoCombo studies or other equivalent skills. The content of TablaoCombo 2 is closely linked to the contents of the BRINDAMOS FLAMENCO intensive courses. During the season, students form their own appearing assemblies.

PALMAS
In palmas / rhythmic classes, we learn how to play flamenco rhythms by hand and foot. In addition to the basics of flamenco morphology, the lessons include exercises that improve hand-foot coordination and accompaniment of dance & music.
Palmas courses are highly recommended for all singers, dancers and guitarists. All courses will cover palm techniques and theory as well as group accompaniment in practice. The courses are suitable for all levels and are open to anyone interested in flamenco rhythm.

You can register for the courses using the attached online form. Payment information and other necessary information will be sent to those who have registered as a confirmation e-mail.
Registration is mandatory for the whole spring season. Registration is revoked only against a medical certificate. Clases canceled by the organizing party will be replaced primarily by re-organized schedule. Pupil’s own absences from weekly classes can be replaced at the other weekly classes. Absences should be replaced during the same semester. The intensive courses do not have the option of reimbursement.
Courses over 300€ can be paid in several installments. NOTE! The 1st installment must be paid before the start of the course.
BRINDAMOS FLAMENCO -courses for beginners
Everyone interested in learning flamenco is welcome. No previous experience needed. You can also try several subjects of flamenco (dance/singing/ guitar). All courses will guide you through essentials and common theory. These courses will give you a good basis for studying & experiencing flamenco.
Our teachers Taija Robalta and Otso Krunasta have professional education acquired in Spain and knowledge of international standards of teaching flamenco.
Courses will take place at the Alexander Theatre.
DANCE
19.00 – 20.00 hrs.
Any appropriate shoes for tapping and clothing for sweaty dancing should be brought to the sporty course. All material is in close contact with music. This course gives you a good start for studying flamenco dancing.
SINGING
18.00 – 19.00 hrs.
This course examines the essentials of flamenco singing. A recorder and note equipment should be brought. This course gives a good start for studying flamenco singing.
GUITAR
17.00 – 18.00 hrs.
A recorder, note equipments and a nylon stringed guitar should be brought in to this basic-level course. This course gives you a good start for studying flamenco guitar.

ESPAÑOL
El colectivo Brindamos Flamenco organiza cursos y actuaciones tanto con artistas finlandeses como internacionales. Su objetivo es dar a conocer en Finlandia el flamenco más tradicional, el flamenco que se vive en los tablaos y fiestas.
Brindamos Flamenco trae artistas españoles bajo el nombre de club BRINDAMOS FLAMENCO. En Brindamos Finlandia cantan, tocan y bailan los finlandeses. Todos los artistas están disponibles también para eventos privados.
El objetivo de los cursos de los Brindamos es eñsenar y respetar la tradición andaluza viva y ayudar al alumno a entender las pautas de comunicación a la hora de tocar juntos. Se organizan clases de cante, baile y guitarra y también clases donde estos tres se reunen para disfrutar y aprender el flamenco.

BRINDAMOS FLAMENCO celebra su quinto aniversario abriendo el otoño 2018 con arte y sabor – sube al escenario una cumbre fantástica de jóvenes artistas españoles. El bailaor José Viñas, durante su primer estancia en Finlandia ha robado los corazones del público, y ahora vuelve con la cantaora Rocío la Boterita, quien publica su primer single en verano 2018. Los clubes han sido llenos, recomendamos comprar sus billetes temprano en antemano!
JOSÉ VIÑAS
Ya muy jóven, José ha ganado varios concursos nacionales de flamenco en España (entre otros el Jóven Artista del año 2010, Ubrique) Ha bailado en los tablaos más prestigiosos de Sevilla y Madrid, y ha recorrido el mundo actuando y enseñando. En este momento está de gira en España y América con el cantaor Falete.
ROCÍO LÓPEZ “LA BOTERITA”
Rocío “La Boterita” ha trabajado en numerosos tablaos de Sevilla (entre otros Casa de la Memoria, Casa de la Guitarra) de Tokio y de Stuttgart. Ha sido premiada en varios concursos, como el Concurso Malagueñas de Fiesta, Concurso “Rincón de Cante”, Concurso de Flamenco “Plaza de la Paz”. Rocío también es una apreciada pedagoga de la técnica del cante flamenco.
OTSO KRUNASTA
Otso Krunasta es un guitarrista flamenco graduado de la Fundación Cristina Heeren de Sevilla. El guitarrista confiado del colectivo BRINDAMOS FLAMENCO ha trabajado durante años con varios figuras y leyendas de flamenco en Andalucía.
